Unfortunately Allen, we had a small outage due to a site update which caused our user community being unable to manage their active ads. You’ll be pleased to hear the issue was resolved this morning, so you will be able to access your ads in the My Ads section.
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to explain how the bump up works. You’ll be
relieved to know that your ad was bumped to the top of the listings successfully.
Did you know that an astounding 1.5 million new ads are posted every week on Kijiji? It’s
no wonder that ads can move down in the listings quickly. That’s where the Bump Up
comes in handy. This feature’s job is to simply bring your ad from its current position in
the listings and place it back at the top of the first page. As other users post new ads,
yours will restart its descent down the list. It doesn’t keep it on the front page forever. As
soon as your ad is bumped back to the top of the first page, its job is done.

As a one time courtesy, I have gone ahead and bumped up the ad again for you to the top of the search page.
I’ve had a Kijiji account for over 12 years. I used to renew my listings every time I received a message saying that a listing had expired. I can still log in, but all my listings and messages have disappeared. What happened? How can I recover them? How will I receive responses?
Unfortunately, Kijiji only keeps records and archives of previously deleted or expired ads for a maximum of 60 days from the date the ads were removed from active postings. I am sorry to say any ad postings that ran and were deleted or time expired more than 60 days ago, have completely been purged from our database.
I don’t understand how this could have happened? I renew my listings as soon as I receive an email saying that the listing is about to expire. So how did they disappear completely? What should I do to prevent this from happening again?
Kijiji going downhill. 14 years I’ve been using the platform. But without chat history, its pointless. Are y’all in that bad of a financial situation, you can’t store text-based data?
Could you please provide a few more details about your account? If you can share the email address associated with your Kijiji profile, I would be happy to look into this right away for you!
Hello, I am not very keen on giving you my email address because earlier, when I provided it, I was told that I should not have done so. I will give you my reference number: ca20036817567. I paid on July 10th. Previously, they sent me a message saying, “Sorry, we could not republish with identifier number 1733764444,” but they did take my payment of $66.63. Please reply to me.
I am sorry for any confusion Renee, I can assure you, that your “Sous-sol Grand 4 1/2” is fully active on our platform along with the Homepage Gallery Feature that was purchased on July 10th.
I will provide you with a link to the live ad for your reference Renee,
I did send the link to the live ad in the last message and the link is live and clickable. I can send you a new link to your ad on our site below:
Now the last edit that was on the posting was on July 10th, so I recommend heading to the Edit Ad section to see if you did perform the proper edits to the images.
I’m reaching out because I’m having an issue with one of my ads. I paid to post/promote it, and the payment has already been charged from my account, but the ad is not appearing on Kijiji. As a result, I’m not receiving any visibility even though the payment was successfully processed.
I would appreciate it if you could please review my account and let me know why the ad isn’t showing. If there’s an issue that needs to be resolved, I’d be grateful if you could help fix it as soon as possible. If the ad cannot be restored, I kindly request a refund for the amount that was charged.
Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your response and hope this issue can be resolved quickly.
Kind regards,
Jaspreet Singh Kijiji order confirmation #CA20036819716
I’d be happy to help. I will be sending you a private message so I can take a closer look at your account and better assist you with the issue you’re experiencing.
I understand how frustrating it is when your ad doesn’t go live after you’ve already paid for it.
In this case, it looks like your pet ad still needs to be updated. Pets cannot be listed as “Free” or for $1, as this doesn’t comply with our Pets Posting Policy.
Once you’ve made the change, it will be reviewed by our moderation team. If it complies with our policy, it will be approved and made live.
