I have a 15-25 year kijiji account that today I was locked out of. With the new verification checks it wants me to check my email to sign in. This is how I learned my Kijiji email setup 20 years ago has been shutdown due to inactivity by Hotmail, never to be retrieved or reused again. Unless I am assisted by Mods, I will lose my 20+ year account. I was in the middle of a conversation to meet someone in the morning too! Until 2025 this old email forwarded into my current one and was shared (hence me never changing it). So I do have lots of proof of ownership!
I am sorry to hear you are unable to access your Kijiji account due to you no longer have access to your hotmail account. Unfortunately, as stated in our Terms and Conditions, access to a working email is required to register and manage the Kijiji account. Unfortunately we do not have the tools to be able to update the account’s email for you. I will reach out to the Development Team to see if anything can be done. Can you provide me with the new email you would like the account changed to? However the Dev Team will not be in until Monday, so you’ll be hearing from me sometime within the next 24 hours if there are ways to help you change the account’s email.
