Hello I’m not sure how this help works and if someone is able to read and reply. This is the second time I’ve put up an ad for a free item. I deleted it the first time as I had 50 views and no replies. Again I put up the ad for same free item, as of now 38 view no replies. I even just paid $2.05 to highlight. What exactly does that do? Because now I decided to pay to sell a free item.

I am sorry to hear you have not received a reply to your Buy and Sell Free Item Rob. I can assure you, the ad is perfectly searchable in the Kijiji platform and all communication is flowing to and from the account without any issues. So yes unfortunately, there has yet to be a reply to the free printer. Now this could be due to a variety of reasons; first and foremost, this could be due to the ad was posted with a contact phone number, so interested buyers may contact you directly through the phone number via text or call. Second tends to be a demographic issue, if the item is not in high demand, it may take a little bit more time for a transaction. However as a courtesy, I will bump up the ad to the top of the page for you, to breathe new live on the ad.
Now in regards to the Highlight feature Rob, When Highlight is applied, your listing is displayed with a coloured background and enhanced visibility compared to standard listings, helping it stand out as buyers browse Kijiji.
Thanks for your reply. I was told not to put my phone number in for safety reasons (spam, etc) and that buyers would contact me via a message. SO I dont understand this >> one says not to put a phone number, and another says to put a phone number.
