I have set up a Kijiji account, logged in and tried to post and ad. When I am finished entering the information it all looks ok but after I click this post button I get this message: There was an issue posting your ad, please contact Customer Service.
Thank you for your patience Gord, it seems the account was placed on a security hold due to you used an unsecured browser when attempting to login to Kijiji. The security hold has been released, however please make sure to update the browser to the latest version to prevent this from occurring again.
Thanks! I will make sure my browser is up to date.
Unable to post rental ad due to “unusual behavior” message despite trying all the steps to resolve. Please help…
Our records indicate that your account has not been used in several months, or longer and may have been compromised and become vulnerable to be used for fraudulent activity. While this may appear to have originated on Kijiji, it is typically the result of external data breaches where login credentials are exposed. You may wish to check whether your email or password has been involved in a known data breach by visiting “Have I Been Pwned.” Please note that recently discovered breaches may take time to appear. Unfortunately, due to the nature of these incidents and to protect both you and the wider Kijiji community, the account has been permanently suspended. Accounts that have been inactive for an extended period or compromised in this way cannot be restored under any circumstances.
To continue using Kijiji, you will need to create a new account using a different email address: [ How to Register on Kijiji - How-To Guides & Tutorials - Community Connect ] Before doing so, we strongly recommend the following: * Ensure you are using the latest version of the Kijiji app or your web browser * Use a secure device that supports current software updates * Create a strong, unique password that is not used on any other platform * Make sure you are not using a VPN or other forms of Privacy Protections when creating your new account. The account can certainly be deleted Jen, I will send you a DM, so we can begin the account closure process.
Good day, I paid for the ad when I posted it, but my ad did not appear for sale.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention right away Alex, I have found the ad and transaction that you were referring to. It seem the ad got stuck in a pending status shortly after purchasing the Visibility Package. I have activated the ad and as a courtesy, provided the ad with a free 7 Day Top Ad feature to go along with the Visibility Package that you purchased.
I was charged for two ads that were never posted. I want a refund please.
I am sorry for the confusion regarding your two featured postings. I have reviewed the account and unfortunately the ads were User Deleted on your end, they were not removed by us at all, just shortly after submitting the postings. Perhaps you may have deleted the ads by mistake during an edit process. Since the ads were User Deleted on your end through your account, we are unable to provide you with a refund. However I have gone ahead and reinstated the ads for you, they are now live on our site.
Amazing - thank you so much!
