Mark a Rental Listing as Rented (Kijiji App)
This feature is available exclusively in the Kijiji app for Real Estate – For Rent categories, including Long Term Rentals, Short Term Rentals, Room Rentals & Roommates, Storage & Parking for Rent, and Commercial & Office Space for Rent.
Once your rental transaction is complete, you can mark your listing as rented. This will remove the listing from search results and let other users know it is no longer available. The listing will then be stored in your Listings/Sold tab for reference.
How to mark a listing as rented
- Open the Kijiji app and tap Listings at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the active listing you want to update.
- Tap Mark as rented.
- Select where the rental took place:
- Kijiji
- Elsewhere
- Prefer not to say
- If you select Kijiji, choose the renter from your conversation history.
- Confirm your selection to complete the process.
What happens after you mark a listing as rented
- The listing is removed from public view and search results.
- The listing is moved to your Listings/Sold tab.
- You and the renter may be invited to leave a review based on the transaction.
- The listing remains stored in the Sold tab for 60 days.
Re-activating a listing
If you change your mind, you can reactivate the listing anytime within 60 days:
- Go to Listings/Sold
- Select the listing
- Tap Mark as availab
