I’m looking for advice on how to report a suspected rental scam on Kijiji.
My father contacted an advertiser regarding a room rental in Pointe-Claire, Montreal. The advertiser asked him to send a $50 upfront payment. After receiving the payment, the advertiser cancelled the arrangement and said the $50 would be refunded, but the refund was never received.
We have screenshots of the conversation, proof of the $50 payment, and the messages where the advertiser promised to refund the money.
We have already reported the listing through Kijiji’s “Report Listing” option. Is there a way to have Kijiji support investigate the advertiser’s account directly and provide our evidence privately?

Hi Rob, thank you for your response. I have the ad ID, the advertiser’s Kijiji profile, email address and phone number, screenshots of the conversations, proof of the $50 payment, and messages showing that a refund was promised but never sent.
I also have a second conversation showing the same advertiser asking another prospective renter for the same $50 deposit before confirming a viewing.
Since this forum is public, could you please tell me how I can send all of this information and the screenshots privately to Kijiji’s investigation team?
