When I try to upload a picture, the hourglass just keeps spinning and the image never finishes uploading.

If the image upload never finishes and the loading icon continues spinning, it’s usually related to the image format, file size, browser, or device permissions. I just tried it on my end using Google Chrome and had not issue.

Please make sure your image:

  • Is 15 MB or smaller (or 4 MB for BMP files).
  • Is between 300 × 300 and 6500 × 6500 pixels.
  • Is in a supported format such as JPEG, PNG, GIF (non-animated), or BMP.

If you’re still having trouble, please try the following:

  • Use the latest version of your browser (Chrome or Firefox is recommended).
  • Clear your browser’s cookies and cache or try a different browser.
  • Temporarily disable any ad blockers, antivirus, or firewall software.
  • If you’re using the Kijiji app, make sure it has permission to access your photos in your device settings.

If your photos are in the HEIC/HEIF format (common on Apple devices), you may need to convert them to JPEG or PNG, as HEIC uploads are not supported on all platforms and browsers.

If the issue continues after trying these steps, please let us know what device, browser, or app you’re using, and we’ll be happy to investigate further.
