Adding Photos and Videos to Your Kijiji Ad

Photos and videos can help your ad attract more attention and give buyers a better understanding of what you’re selling.

Adding Photos to Your Ad

On Kijiji.ca

  1. Start creating a new ad or edit an existing ad.

  2. In the Images section, click Select Images.

  3. Choose the photos you want to upload from your device.

  4. Continue completing your ad and publish when ready.

In the Kijiji App

  1. Create a new ad or edit an existing listing.

  2. Tap the camera icon at the top of the screen.

  3. Select photos from your device or take new photos using your camera.

  4. Arrange your photos by pressing and holding an image, then dragging it into the desired position.

  5. Tap a photo to edit it, including:

    • Cropping

    • Rotating

  6. Save your changes and continue posting your ad.

Photo Limits and Requirements

  • You can upload up to 10 photos per ad.

  • Photos should be clear, accurate, and relevant to the item being advertised.

  • Images must comply with Kijiji’s posting policies and image requirements.

Adding a YouTube Video to Your Ad

Adding a video can help showcase your item and provide buyers with additional details.

On Kijiji.ca

  1. Create a new ad or edit an existing ad.

  2. Locate the Media section.

  3. Paste your YouTube video URL into the Video field.

  4. Complete and publish your ad.

Once added, buyers can view the video directly from your ad.

In the Kijiji App

  1. Tap Post to create a new ad or edit an existing listing.

  2. Select the appropriate category and subcategory.

  3. Scroll to the Video field.

  4. Paste your YouTube video URL.

  5. Complete and publish your ad.

Once published, buyers can select Watch YouTube Video from your listing.

Using YouTube Shorts

Kijiji supports YouTube Shorts, but the URL must be converted before it can be added to your listing.

For example:

Instead of: youtube.com/shorts/abcdefGHIJ

Use: youtube.com/watch?v=abcdefGHIJ

Replacing /shorts/ with /watch?v= allows the video to be displayed correctly on Kijiji.

Video Guidelines

When adding a video:

  • Ensure the content is relevant to the item being advertised.

  • Videos must comply with Kijiji’s posting policies.

  • Content should be appropriate for a general audience.

  • Videos may be viewed directly from the ad page.
