why am I being told I can only do one free listing in Automotive Parts? I am a private seller using my personal account. I am not a business.

I reviewed your account and can confirm that this is working as intended.
Private sellers are allowed one free listing in the Automotive Parts category. Any additional listings in that category will require a listing fee, even if you are not a business.

I am not a Professional Retailer. I am a Private Seller. Where does it say I am in a category subject to listing limits? The info you linked me to says Professional Retailers are limited to 1 free ad in the Automotive Parts category. Private Seller in Automotive Parts category is NOT listed.
1 free ad for all users. Before posting your ad, it will let you know how many free ads you are allowed.
