What is the Payment Estimator?
The Payment Estimator is an in-app tool available on select Dealer listings in the Cars & Trucks category on Kijiji. It helps buyers estimate what their monthly vehicle payments could look like before contacting a seller.
Listings that support this feature will display a “Payment Estimator” button directly on the listing page.
How the Payment Estimator works
When you open a supported vehicle listing, you can access the Payment Estimator and adjust key financing inputs, including:
- Loan term
- Interest rate
- Down payment amount
As you update these values, the tool automatically recalculates the estimated monthly payment based on the vehicle price shown in the listing.
Default settings
The Payment Estimator will initially display the following default values:
- Interest rate: 8.99%
- Loan term: 72 months
- Down payment: $0 (blank by default)
You can adjust these values at any time to explore different monthly payment scenarios based on your budget.

Estimated monthly payments are provided for informational purposes only.
They do not represent:
- A financing offer
- A credit approval guarantee
- A commitment from the seller or Kijiji
Estimates are based on:
- The listed vehicle price (excluding taxes)
- The inputs entered by the user
