Failure to comply with these requirements may result in ad removal or account restrictions.
Jobs That Cannot Be Posted on Kijiji
The following types of job ads are not permitted:

Pyramid schemes or opportunities requiring upfront or ongoing payments from applicants.

Jobs involving sexual services or sexual activities.

Job postings that do not clearly explain the nature of the work.

Commission-only positions that do not clearly disclose that compensation is entirely commission-based and provide details about the product or service being sold.
If your job posting falls into one of these categories, it may be removed without notice.
Rules for Employers
When posting a job on Kijiji, employers must:

Provide an accurate description of the position.

Clearly outline job responsibilities and expectations.

Accurately describe compensation and employment conditions.

Use the platform only for legitimate recruitment purposes.

Comply with all applicable employment, human rights, and advertising laws.
Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) Positions
Multi-level marketing opportunities must be posted as Professional Employer ads and must accurately describe the opportunity being offered.

Employers may not request photographs as part of the application process.

Job postings must not discriminate based on:

Replies to job ads must be related to legitimate employment opportunities.

Accounts engaging in these activities may be suspended or permanently restricted.
Quebec Language Requirements
Employers posting jobs in Quebec may be subject to additional requirements under the Quebec Charter of the French Language.
In particular:

If knowledge of a language other than French is required, employers must explain why that requirement is necessary for the position.
Employers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable provincial regulations.
Model, Acting, and Talent Opportunities
Ads for modelling, acting, entertainment, or talent-based opportunities must:

Be posted by a legitimate business or agency.

Include the company name and a valid phone number.

Use a professional business email address.

Clearly describe compensation, working conditions, and responsibilities.
Free email services such as Gmail, Hotmail, or similar email domains are not permitted for these types of listings.
Why Was My Job Ad Removed?
Kijiji may remove job postings that:

Violate these Job Posting Rules.

Violate Kijiji’s Terms of Use or posting policies.

Appear misleading, deceptive, or incomplete.

Breach applicable laws or regulations.
Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent loss of posting privileges.

Well-written job ads generally receive better results.
