Found an older ladies Rolex buried at the bottom of a yard sale in Port Credit. The owner thought it was broken costume junk. I took a $67 gamble, brought it home, and gave the winder a gentle turn—tick, tick, tick. Real vintage mechanical movement, but definitely needed a serious service.
My local watchmaker confirmed it was a real 1960s Rolex. I didn’t feel like keeping that kind of cash, so I put it straight on Kijiji: “Vintage Ladies Rolex – authentic, runs briefly, needs restoration/service. $450 OBO.”
My inbox exploded. Within two hours, a local watch hobbyist offered $400 cash, paid online and a day later was shipped out.
Gotta love Kijiji!
