How to Delete Your Kijiji Account
You can permanently delete your Kijiji account using the Kijiji mobile app.
For privacy and security reasons, account deletion requests must be submitted through the app. Requests submitted through other channels cannot be processed.
Before You Delete Your Account
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Once your deletion request is submitted:
- Your account will be permanently deleted
- Your account age, ratings, and account history will be removed
- Your active listings and profile information will no longer be visible on Kijiji
- Your public reviews and messages will be removed from publicly accessible areas of the platform
If you decide to return to Kijiji in the future, you may create a new account after at least 30 days have passed since the deletion was completed.
How to Delete Your Account
To submit an account deletion request:
- Download and open the Kijiji app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Sign in to your Kijiji account.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Manage Account.
- Tap Request Account Deletion.
- Review the information provided and select Next.
- Select Submit Request.
- Enter your password to confirm the request.
Your deletion request will be processed immediately.
Why Do I Need to Use the App?
To help protect user privacy and account security, Kijiji must be able to verify that an account deletion request is being made by the account owner.
Because deletion requests submitted through other channels cannot be verified to the same standard, all account deletion requests must be submitted through the Kijiji app.
What Information Is Removed?
Deleting your account removes your profile and content from publicly accessible portions of Kijiji including:
- Your profile
- Your listings
- Your messages
- Your reviews and ratings
Does Kijiji Keep Any Information After Deletion?
In certain circumstances, Kijiji may retain limited information after an account is deleted where required to:
- Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations
- Protect Kijiji’s legal rights
- Detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, spam, or suspicious activity
- Maintain records of account deletion requests or other privacy-related requests
Any retained information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and Kijiji’s Privacy Policy.
Special Note
Please note that your “Kijiji Community Connect” account is separate from your main Kijiji Account. If you would like to delete your Community Support account as well, you can easily do so by navigating to your profile and selecting Preferences.
