On every platform, a used item’s history is just the seller’s word — purchase date, warranty left, repairs. Buyers discount hard or buy new instead. Let sellers attach a verified passport to a listing: original purchase proof, warranty status and whether it transfers, repair history. When the item sells, the passport transfers to the buyer. High-value items would sell faster and closer to asking, because the buyer isn’t paying for risk.
