Finding the right tenant just got easier. Kijiji has partnered with **The Great Renter (TGR)** to offer landlords and property managers a fast, simple way to request background and credit checks directly during the rental process.

## 1. What is Tenant Screening?

Tenant Screening allows landlords to invite prospective tenants to complete a comprehensive background check powered by **The Great Renter**. It gives you better information to help you make more informed leasing decisions with confidence.

### Available Packages:

- **Essential Package** Includes Identity Verification, Income Verification, Credit Bureau Score, and Full Credit History.

- **Complete Package** Includes everything in Essential, plus a Criminal Record Check and Notice to Vacate History.

## 2. How It Works (Step-by-Step)

### Step 1: Start Your Screening Request

From your Kijiji Chat or listing management options, navigate to the **Tenant Screening** feature. Click **“Send an application”** or **“Start your check”** to begin.

### Step 2: Choose Your Package & Enter Applicant Details

1. Select either the **Essential** or **Complete** screening package.

2. Enter the **Applicant’s First Name** , **Last Name** , and **Email Address**.

3. Click **“Continue to payment”**.

### Step 3: Checkout & Request Submission

1. Review your order details and apply any promotional codes if available.

2. Enter your billing and credit card information via secure payment processing.

3. Click **“Pay and send request”**.

### Step 4: Tenant Consent & Report Completion

1. An automated email invitation is sent directly to the prospective tenant.

2. The applicant securely accesses the invitation, verifies their identity, and provides authorization directly to **The Great Renter**.

3. Once completed by the tenant, screening results are delivered securely via The Great Renter.

#### Who performs and handles the screening reports?

Tenant Screening is provided directly by **The Great Renter**. Kijiji acts as a referral partner to connect landlords with TGR’s screening services and does not collect, access, store, or deliver personal screening reports.

#### How long does a screening report take to complete?

Once the prospective tenant receives the email invite and completes their verification steps, reports are generated and made available by The Great Renter.

#### Does Kijiji rate or score tenants?

No. Kijiji does not issue tenant scores, risk ratings, badges, or endorsements. All screening reports consist of factual verification data provided independently by The Great Renter.
