Buyer said they were 8 minutes away and then I spent the next half an hour waiting for them in the lobby. They constantly went to the wrong place and seemed to not know how to get to the proper one even though I’ve told them several times, sent them a map link, and they had data to be able to communicate with me and therefore to check their own map.
When they finally showed up, they decided that they didn’t want the item anymore.
This was an insanely huge waste of time and extremely enraging to go through. I am not satisfied with letting it just pass. They should be reported and should ideally compensate me for my time, though there should at least be a system in place to rate or report someone regardless of whether or not the transaction finished.
I wish there was something tangible that we could do to help you, but ultimately Kijiji is
simply a platform that connects buyers and sellers; we don’t get involved in any of
the transactions or disputes between our users.

suggestions. If the matter can’t be settled on your own, one option is to contact your
local police department to see if they can assist you. If they can, please ask them to
contact us (by submitting a ticket like you just did) and our team of experts will be
more than happy to help with the investigation. You may also choose to seek
professional legal counsel to help determine if you have any recourse against the other user.
