Last updated: Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026 _These Kijiji Build Ambassador Terms apply when you join as part of our “ **Testing Community** ” through the “Be an Ambassador” sign-up form. In these terms, “ **Kijiji** ,” “ **we** ” and “ **us** ” mean Kijiji Canada Ltd. By submitting the sign-up form, you agree to these terms, the [Build Kijiji With Us – Submission Terms](https://community.kijiji.ca/t/build-kijiji-with-us-submissions-terms/12213) and the [Kijiji Terms of Use](https://community.kijiji.ca/t/kijiji-terms-of-use/29), which form part of these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t join._ _ **1. Eligibility.** To join, you must be (a) at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and (b) a resident of Canada. Employees and contractors of Kijiji, Adevinta and their affiliates, and employees of competing online marketplaces, are not eligible. We may ask you to confirm your eligibility._ _ **2. No guarantee of invitation.** Joining the Testing Community does not guarantee that you will be invited to any research or testing session. Kijiji selects participants at its sole discretion, based on the needs of each study. Taking part in any session is always voluntary._ _ **3. No employment relationship.** Joining the Testing Community or taking part in a session does not make you an employee, contractor, agent or partner of Kijiji. You are not entitled to any wages, benefits or other compensation, except as set out in section 4._ _ **4. Incentives.** Kijiji may offer an incentive, such as a gift card, for a particular session. Any incentive, and its conditions, will be described in the session invitation. Nothing is owed for joining the Testing Community itself. If an incentive is offered as a draw, contest or prize, separate official rules will apply._ _ **5. Session agreements and confidentiality.** Before a session, we may ask you to accept a participant agreement covering, for example, confidentiality, recording of the session and the incentive offered. If you see unreleased features, designs or other non-public information, you agree to keep it confidential and not to use, share, copy, screenshot or record it, unless we say otherwise in writing._ _ **6. Feedback.** Any idea, suggestion, comment or other feedback you provide through the Testing Community or in a session (“ **Feedback** ”) is treated in the same way as a Submission under the [Build Kijiji With Us – Submission Terms](https://community.kijiji.ca/t/build-kijiji-with-us-submissions-terms/12213). This means, among other things, that you assign to Kijiji all rights in your Feedback (with a fallback licence), waive your moral rights in it, and that Kijiji has no obligation to use it or to pay or credit you for it, and may independently develop similar ideas._ _ **7. Your conduct.** You agree to give accurate information when you join, to keep it up to date, and to take part in sessions honestly and respectfully. Your participation is also subject to the [Kijiji Terms of Use](https://community.kijiji.ca/t/kijiji-terms-of-use/29) and the [Community Connect Guidelines](https://community.kijiji.ca/t/kijiji-community-connect-forum-guidelines/4), whether or not you have a Kijiji account. If there is a conflict, these Kijiji Build Ambassador Terms prevail._ _ **8. Communications.** We will only email you invitations to research and testing if you have given your separate consent on the sign-up form. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any invitation or by contacting us at [kijijisupport@kijiji.ca](mailto:kijijisupport@kijiji.ca)._ _ **9. Privacy.** We will use your first name and email address only to manage the Testing Community and to invite you to research and testing, and we will handle them in line with the [Kijiji Privacy Policy](https://community.kijiji.ca/t/privacy-policy-for-kijiji/37). We will keep your information for up to 12 months, or until you leave the Testing Community, whichever comes first. Your information may be stored and processed outside Quebec/Canada by our service providers._ _ **10. Leaving, removal and ending the program.** You may leave the Testing Community at any time by contacting us at [kijijisupport@kijiji.ca](mailto:kijijisupport@kijiji.ca). Kijiji may remove anyone from the Testing Community, or change, suspend or end the program, at any time and for any reason, without notice or liability._ _ **11. Changes.** We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “last updated” date. If you stay in the Testing Community after an update, the updated terms apply._ _ **12. Limitation of liability.** To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Kijiji, its affiliates or their respective contractors or representatives (together, the “ **Kijiji Parties** ”) be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Testing Community, any research or testing session, any Feedback or these terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the total liability of the Kijiji Parties to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Testing Community, any session or these terms exceed the greater of CAD $50 and the total value of any incentives you received from Kijiji in the 12 months before the claim arose. Each of the Kijiji Parties is an intended beneficiary of this section and may enforce it directly. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the consumer protection laws of your province of residence._ _ **13. Governing law.** These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your province of residence._ _ **14. Governing law.** _ The parties required that these conditions be drafted in English and French. ---
