This is the email I get:

Your Kijiji Ad has been held by our system (#1741471965)

Hi **** !

Regrettably, it looks like one of your Kijiji ads has been switched to “Inactive” for not supplying sufficient information. Here’s why:

When posting to Kijiji, please supply specific information about the product or service you are offering so we can determine whether or not it falls in line with our policies. Ads containing detailed information receive much more traffic, which can result in a quicker sale! Some things you may want to consider adding:

Large, clear, and appropriate images

Whether your product is new or used (how old is the item?)

The condition of the item

The price of the item

If this is an item with several versions or different releases, which one is this?

If you’re advertising an animal, what breed? Are you the owner or the breeder?

If this ad is for real estate, where is it located? What floor is the unit on?

Any other details that interested parties will want to learn before making a purchase

By adding this info to your ad, it may turn browsers of the site into buyers!

To edit your ad, please visit “My Kijiji” and click on the “Inactive Ads” tab to view and edit this ad.

Unfortunately the reason the ad is currently on hold Kamran is due to As of late April 2026, Ontario law restricts the resale of tickets for concerts, sports events, and other live events.

Kijiji supports compliance with Ontario’s ticket resale regulations, including the Ticket Sales Act framework (commonly referred to as “Bill 94 – Putting Fans First Act”).

Ontario Compliance Requirements

All ticket resales in Ontario must follow these rules:

  • Tickets may not be resold above their original face value

  • The total resale price must not exceed the original purchase price, including fees and taxes

  • Sellers must not make any profit from ticket resales

  • Listings must include a clear image showing the original purchase price

So if you can please proceed to Edit Ad option and upload a screenshot of the face-value receipt of what you paid for the tickets and that will reactivate the posting.

Hi Rob,

Thanks again for the help! To clarify, I won these 2 tickets directly through a company event giveaway draw, so I don’t have a personal retail receipt to upload.

However, My tickets are lower-bowl seats in Section 108 Row: 5 (Only five rows up from the floor!). For reference, worse seats further back in row 22 are currently costing over $1,160 total on Ticketmaster after their fees and taxes. I have shared the screenshots from ticketmaster.

Since I am listing the pair at $960 total, this reflects the standard or lower face-value retail price for Section 108 without markup. Is there a specific proof format (like a screenshot of the digital tickets in my account or current retail face-value comparisons) I can upload so the ad can be approved?

Thanks!

Kamran

I can totally understand that you won the concert tickets Kamran, so what you can do is exactly what you did with the reply back to me. Upload this same image that you provided me that contains the current price for both tickets on Ticketmaster and that will reinstate the posting. To upload the image, please proceed to the My Ads section and choose the Edit option and that will allow you to upload the screenshot.
