Hi @Abdoul_Mazide_Balde

I just sent you a private message with an update on your account

Having a similar issue. Seem to be unable to post an ad looking for a rental, despite filling out the form correctly

Hi @Eris_Devon_McFadden

Thank you for reaching out regarding your account status.

Our security systems flagged your account due to settings that prevent us from verifying your session security, such as the use of network anonymizers (VPNs, proxies, or privacy tools) or an outdated web browser.

To help us review your appeal and restore access, please ensure you complete the following steps:

Disable all active VPNs, proxies, or anonymizers.

Turn off location-blocking extensions or settings in your browser.

Update your web browser to the most recent version.

Once you have updated these settings, please reply directly to this message so we can re-evaluate your account.

I can’t post. keep showing error, talk customer service

I don’t use any VPNs or proxies or anything like that. I had adblock installed but I disabled it for kijiji. I’m also using Microsoft Edge (chromium browser) which updates automatically. I checked and it was already the latest version number.

Thank you for your patience Maharaj, it seems the account was placed on a security hold due to you used an unsecured browser when attempting to login to Kijiji. The security hold has been released, however please make sure to update the browser to the latest version to prevent this from occurring again.

Just registered, but cannot post through the website or the app. Either I get the something went wrong error from the app or contact customer support through the website.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand how frustrating it is to have your account flagged or your ads removed, and we appreciate the opportunity to help you resolve this.
To protect our community and ensure a safe marketplace, our security systems automatically flag accounts when session security cannot be verified. This usually happens when automated privacy tools mask your actual location. Because Kijiji relies on accurate location data to display your ads to the right local buyers, masking this information causes our system to default to deleting the ads to prevent potential fraud.
Common Tools That May Cause This Issue:
Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) or proxy software
Web browsers with built-in VPNs or extreme privacy modes (e.g., Brave Browser)
Mobile device settings like Apple’s “Private Relay” or private browsing location masks
Ad blockers, strict firewall rules, or pop-up blocking software
“Safe Browsing” features within certain antivirus programs
Outdated web browsers
Steps to Restore Your Access and Post Successfully:
Disable Anonymizing Software: Turn off any active VPNs, proxies, or location-blocking extensions on your device.
Check Auto-Reconnect: Ensure your VPN or privacy software does not have an “auto-reconnect” setting enabled, as this can silently re-engage the mask while you are browsing.
Verify Your Location & Browser: Reset your browser’s location permissions to reflect your actual location and ensure your web browser is updated to the latest version.
Log In Twice: Once your settings are adjusted, please log out and log back into your Kijiji account at least twice. This registers fresh, updated security logs on our system so we can verify the change.
(Easiest Option) Try an Unrestricted Device: If possible, logging in from a device that does not have VPNs or heavy security software installed is often the quickest way to bypass these technical conflicts.
Once you have completed these steps and logged in twice, please reply directly to this message so our team can re-evaluate your account and help restore your access.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work to keep Kijiji secure for everyone!

Hi, I’m having the same issue with the message “There was an issue posting your ad, please contact Customer Service.”.

I’m trying to post a rental listing. I have no VPN or privacy software, my browser is up to date, I’ve logged back in and out four times, I’m located in Canada, and I’ve tried a different browser. It’s still giving me that same message.

I’ve tried three time to post my ad, but each time I get this message: “Cannot post ad, keeps telling me to contact Customer Service”.
Your bot assistance suggested I post here.
I appreciate your help.

Exact same thing happening to me as well. It’s getting frustrating for sure!

New account as of this morning. First ad (used Carrier oil furnace, Prince Albert SK) was rejected at submission with “There was an issue posting your ad, please contact Customer Service.” My Ads shows 0 active and 0 inactive. My username is Brian.m, can you please review the hold? @Rob @Hassan

Thank you for the advice. I have followed all of those steps and the issue remains. I do not have any VPNs or similar progams/tools, my browsers are updated and my location permissions reflect my actual location. I’ve logged in and out 4+ times, I’ve tried 2 different browsers. incognito mode, as well as the Kijiji app on my phone. Nothing has solved the problem. Please advise what the next steps are.

i cannot post an ad, Can’t post ad – contact customer service is what i am getting could someone look into my account plz
